Our
clients experiences
I used
to imagine how it would feel if I could
lie underneath the skyful of stars and
have a night chat with my friends, could
wake up in the morning and see elephants
foraging around our campsite, could see
the sunrise with me inside the tent and
right in my sleeping bag. The truth is,
I did, we all did, and not only these,
we experienced further more. It is just
like we lived somewhere in a fairy tale,
a place far away from the human world,
pure and limpid. Surrounded by absolutely
gorgeous scenes and millions of wild animals,
for the first time we felt calm, we could
appreciate the happiness that even a tiny
single element of this place could bring
us. When I stood on the view point and
saw the Great Rift Valley extending further
away to the endless sea of clouds, when
we drove across the national park and
caught a range of giraffes running in
their elegant pace, I felt my heart being
touched, gently but strong, softly but
deep. I will say nothing more about the
beauty of Tanzania, because that is how
it makes me, speechless.

My friend
Lindsay and I booked an 8 day safari with
Tanzania Safari Wonders for January 2007.
We specifically wanted to go to Lake Eyasi
alongside the normal safari routes, but
had quite a limited budget having seen
the costs quoted on the internet for other
companies, and thus we needed an itinerary
that was made to our requirements. Additionally
we wanted to be sure our trip would be
a safe and memorable experience and therefore
we looked into several companies before
booking. The company owner Damian was
incredibly helpful in answering all of
our questions, reassuring us and putting
together the ideal itinerary for us. He
even phoned on numerous occasions to ensure
we were happy with everything. We paid
by bank transfer in advance of travelling
out and despite afew minor delays there
weren't any problem with this.
On arrival in Kenya we had a few problems
with the overnight train from Mombassa
to Nairobi which broke down and delayed
us by a day, but we phoned Joyce with
Tanzania Safari Wonders in Arusha to explain
and she was very understanding and happy
to delay our trip by a day. She met us
off the shuttle bus from Nairobi in Arusha
along with Mhando our guide and driver
and they took us to the hotel we had booked
(a lovely family run place with little
bungalows and a pool called Outpost Lodge
for anyone looking for somewhere to stay
before and after their safari!) We had
a few drinks with them in the bar at the
hotel whilst they talked us through the
itinerary and answered our questions.
Joyce then kindly gave us a lift into
town to change travellers cheques and
showed us an internet cafe and she also
arranged for our bus back to Mombassa
after our safari.

Overview
I had an amazing experience
with Tanzania Safari Wonders. The whole
trip was easy to organize, and everyone
from the company, both before and during
our stay, was incredible helpful and informative.
After our safari, they even helped us
with organizing the next stage of our
journey, including giving us a lift to
the station and waiting with us until
our bus arrived – even though this
was really early in the morning. Both
of us had a wonderful time – it
was a great mix of local culture, history
and wildlife, and we went home having
seen everything that we set out to see.
I would recommend this company to anyone
– not only did we receive much more
personalized service than we would have
done with a big package tour, but the
price was much better, and we had much
more flexibility to see what we wanted
to see, and change our plans as we went
along.
